Blood Awakening - Tessa Dawn *Genre* Dark Fantasy*Rating* 4.0*Full Review forthcoming*"Light shall become dark, and dark shall become light. And the seal of light shall affix to a tortured soul. And the soul bound by darkness shall be sealed with torture."Blood Awakening features Marquis Silivasi, the oldest of the Silivasi Vampyre brothers and the only one who doesn't have a surviving twin. Marquis is a Master Vampire and Warrior who has sworn his life to protect the family from the rival Demir's. Although Blood Awakening is extremely dark and violent at times, especially towards human women, I enjoyed this story because of the world building and the way the characters are drawn out. I like Marquis because he mostly stays true to his character and goes out of his way to right the wrongs that have been done to his family and innocents who are loyal to the family. I liked the arrival of Ciopori, the sister of Jaegar and Jadon, who becomes a key player in the story. I liked the fact that she seems more than amiable to be with Marquis who she thought of while buried underground for nearly 28 centuries. I know the next book is supposed to feature Napoleon Moondragon, the sovereign of the Silivasi family. I'm hoping I can somehow get my hands on that book soon.
