Out of Sight, Out of Time - Ally Carter *Genre* Juvenile Fiction / Social Issues / Adolescence *Rating* 4.0*My Thoughts*After an "interesting" conclusion to Only the Good Spy Young, "Out of Sight, Out of Time" picks up four months after Cammie Morgan made her fated decision to leave the Gallagher Academy behind and protect those she loves while searching for answers as to why the Circle of Cavan is so intent on capturing her. Four months for which she has no memories of why or how she ended up in a convent in the Alps with bruises and abrasions on her body. Four months in which her former self has been replaced by someone else entirely and who may hold all the answers to defeating the Cavan once and for-all or helping them bring about a new world order. It is so damn sad that I forgot to request "United We Spy" when it was on NetGalley so that I can figure out some key questions that were left lingering in the back of my mind after reading this book. I figured out pretty early on in the book that Cammie had been used and brainwashed by the Evil Circle who somehow captured her. The only question was whether or not they let her go, or if she escaped their grasp like she did in Only the Good Spy Young. Upon arriving back at Gallagher, things have certainly taken a strange, strange turn. Aunt Abby is now a full time instructor replacing Agent Townsend, and the student body is not sure how to Cammie's return to the school after being gone for 4 months. Even the Trustees of the school start to question whether or not Cammie can be safely returned to the classroom.I really didn't care that much for Bex's attitude towards Cammie at first. I get her reasoning for being disappointed and angry but when you've been best friends with someone for as long and Cammie and Bex have, you make an effort to forgive and find out answers before jumping. Make sure the person who is YOUR FRIEND is actually okay and remembers what actually happened to them before being all bitchy mcbitchy.I also don't fully trust Zach even though his obvious affection and caring for Cammie is sweet. If you've read Only the Good Spy Young, you know that one of the Cavan's members is close to Zach and therefore he is definitely someone to keep an eye out for. I would also love to know more about his training at the Blackthorne school which Joe Solomon also attended. This book became much more of a mystery novel than anything previously released. Cammie is now 18 and a senior at Gallagher Academy yet she's impatiently trying to understand what happened to her and how she gained new abilities she didn't have before leaving. The story also travels around the globe looking for answers to Cammie's mysterious summer adventure with Abby, Rachel, Liz, Macey, and Bex all in tow. I would say that this book as a psychological thriller aspect to it as well. There is a definite darkness to removing someone's memories and then sending them back to see if they lead you to the answers you are looking for. The confrontation with the Circle is non stop and you really have no clue who you can trust outside of Cammie's close friends and family.Looking forward to an exciting conclusion to this series with the release of United We Spy in September, 2013.Published March 13th 2012 by Hyperion Book CH
