Blood Brother - Jack Kerley This is the fourth book in the Carson Ryder series that I've read, and probably one of the most intense in the series. Carson is asked to go to NYC after his brother Jeremy escapes and heads to NY. He is suspected of killing Dr. Vangie Prowse the director of a mental institution in Alabama that housed many violently insane criminals, included Jeremy.Carson hides the fact that they are related until NYPD LT Alice Folger, someone who Carson finds himself with, is kidnapped by his brother to save her life from someone who is very much an evil man.The twists and turns of this book are fun to follow, but, they also take awhile to develop. You really believe that Jeremy was responsible for these killings until you read about what actually happened the day Jeremy killed his own father. We actually get to see that Jeremy was, in all actuality, brainwashed and not responsible for the deaths of the women he was accused of killing and finally opens up to the one person he starts to trust; Dr Prowse.I'm searching for the next book in the series through the Interlibrary system. Here's hoping we learn more about Jeremy and what makes him tick.
