Darkness Devours - Keri Arthur *Genre* Paranormal Romance*Rating* 3.0*Review*I'm wondering if we are ever going to get rid of Lucian. I mean, I'm sorry but I can't take his interference any longer. I don't trust him, and hopefully it will become apparent to Risa that Lucian doesn't have her best interests at heart. Sex, yes. Finding out who killed her mother, no.I love Azriel. I love the fact that he does whatever he can to protect her from those like the vampire council who continue to test her to the limits of her very being and half of them want her dead. Risa goes through a lot of different situations in this book including having to deal with an ex who caused trouble for Risa and her mother. I guess Arthur loves tormenting and torturing her so called heroines to the brink of insanity.I also happen to agree with other readers/reviewers in that this story doesn't do a lot to find out who was responsible for killing Risa's mum, or who stole the key to one of the realms. All it does it put further distance and strain on Risa's friends who continue to stand by her no matter what.In case you haven't figured it out already, this series takes place after the Riley Jenson series ended in the not too distant future where Risa is a spoiled rich kid who can have anything she wants. If you read this and wonder why I continue to read this series, let's just say I'm in it because of the mystery surrounding her mums death, and the action and suspense is decent enough to keep me interested. Yes, there is a lot of repetition involved in the series. Wouldn't be a Keri Arthur book were it not for that fact.Darkness Hunts is the next installment in this series and releases November 6th 2012 by Penguin Group.
